Beautiful painting inspired by the wonderful James Dean - When I am painting the James Dean painting series I am always listening to the his film theme music at the same time. I hope the viewers think ´Wow how cool is this painting of James Dean - He looks so cool - as He is! Hood is a figurative painter influence and inspired by the Fauvist artist in art history. Coming from the French word fauve, meaning 'wild animals,' Fauvism rejected traditional painting ideals and emphasized modern concepts. Inspired by the late impressionist works of Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh who pushed the boundaries with their bold colour choices, Hood takes this idea a step further to include simplified design.
