Beautiful painting inspired by the wonderful Animal kingdom - I hope the viewers think ´Wow how cool is this painting of this Animal - so cool - Hood Graduated London Central St Martins 2005 Masters Degree Fine Art Painting – Jackson Pollock - He is my inspiration also - The way he made the marks on the canvas, throwing the paint - The colours so vivid - Pollock he is my inspiration for sure - I hope the viewer will think that the artist (me) draws a fine divide between existentialism of freedom of choice and the juxtaposed concept of light against texture - The colours in the background represent where we live, the bright shimmering light, blue skies, the sandy paths in the mountain and the perfectly splendid pink sunsets – The topic is close to my heart ´Don´t Buy . . Hood is a figurative painter influence and inspired by the Fauvist artist in art history. Coming from the French word fauve, meaning 'wild animals,' Fauvism rejected traditional painting ideals and emphasized modern concepts. Inspired by the late impressionist works of Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh who pushed the boundaries with their bold colour choices, Hood takes this idea a step further to include simplified design.
