A colorful depiction of a dog's face is presented with vibrant splashes and dots of various hues across its visage. The animal's expressive eyes capture attention, providing a sense of character and emotion to the piece. Paintings inspired by the Animal Kingdom. Hood Graduated London Central St Martins 2005 Masters Degree Fine Art. Hood is a figurative painter influence and inspired by the Fauvist artist in art history. Coming from the French word fauve, meaning 'wild animals,' Fauvism rejected traditional painting ideals and emphasized modern concepts. Inspired by the late impressionist works of Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh who pushed the boundaries with their bold colour choices, Hood takes this idea a step further to include simplified design. Whilst studying for a painting masters degree at Central Saint Martins, London in 2005, Hood set about writing a 10,000 word dissertation titled ' Primitivism in Art'.
